Altarpiece of Christ
Gabriel Claverie, painter of Perpignan
was entrusted with this altarpiece on
February the 2nd 1.670.
It is ornamented all around Christ,
with various instruments of the Passion.

The sun and the moon evoke the passage of
the Gospel of Saint Luke XXIII, 44:
"It was almost midday and there was
darkness on all the earth up to the third
hour, sun having disappeared. "

This altarpiece with steps, exposure and
Christ with Christ on cross
(sculpted and gilt wood from the XVII century)
is registered as an historic monument.

A marble embedded into the right-hand side wall
is wrote down with the funerary inscription of
Bernard Scuder and of his wife More, both
coming back from Rome for the Jubilee in 1.300.
They deceased in "January of the year of
Christ 1.300 ". (In fact it corresponds according to
the current time with the year 1.301, the year starting at
that time in Catalonia on March 25th).

A second marble embedded into the left-hand side
wall is wrote down with the text of the Hail Mary.
Writing is from at least the first years of the XIII century.
